What a check shows
The certificate, the proof and the review record
A certificate says what someone proved. Verification shows you the proof, so you can judge it yourself.
The certificate
Holder, what they proved, the date it was issued, and whether it is still valid. Revoked certificates stay listed, marked Revoked, with the reason.
The proof it rests on
The working project the certificate was earned with: its proof ID, version, code, demo and write-up.
The review record
Who reviewed it at each stage, Institute, Community and Public, what they checked and what they asked to change.
